The 'There Are Too Many Songs To Describe My Mood Swings Today' Post!

It starts out a little like this....

I'm Ready I Am by The Format

I'm nicotine, I'm coming clean

I fooled the crowd when I made it sound like
I was more then ready

Strike up the band,
Deprive my sleep cause there's no love like apathy

The bell that tolls rings loud enough
That it should have woke us up

I'm trying to find truth
in words,
In rhymes, in notes,

In all the things I wish I'd wrote
'cause
I feel like I've been losing you

I read your last entry

Over-privileged kids keep crying

The need to fit in is harder when living life from a screen

Old classmates please drop all your pens

Don't write a word, 'cause I won't reply

And I'm not bitter,
no it's just I've passed that point in my life

I need a reason to let go

An intervention,
a lullaby,

Something to cure me please believe me

Then my mood moves a bit this way....

Tie The Rope by The Format

Just tie the rope and kick the chair

Leave me hanging there, gasping for air

Yeah, don't mind me three feet from the ceiling

You'd rather watch me drown,

Then see your hands get wet

You took the plot from stage to screen

And turned it to an epic scene

So whisper it once, tell me again,

C'mon, whisper it twice,

I can’t stand to see my whole life flash before my eyes

When I'm with you there's no point in breathing,

No point in breathing

Then it moseyed this way…

The First Single by The Format

You know me, oh you think you do you just don't seem to see
I've been waiting all this time to be, something I can't define
So let's cause a scene, clap our hands and stomp our feet or something, yeah something

I've just got to get myself over me

Then I dashed a bit this way...

Engine Driver by The Decemberists

I am a writer, writer of fictions
I am the heart that you call home
And I've written pages upon pages
Trying to rid you from my bones

Then it moved back over here….thankfully.

Best For Last by Adele

Wait, do you see my heart on my sleeve?
It's been there for days on end and
It's been waiting for you to open up

Then you'd say all of the right things without a clue
But you'd save the best for last
Like I'm the one for you

And though I'm trying my hardest
I think that I know things may never change
I'm still hoping one day I might hear you say

I make you feel a way you've never felt before
And I'm all you need and that you never want more
Then you'd say all of the right things without a clue
But you'd save the best for last
Like I'm the one for you

But, despite the truth that I know
I find it hard to let go and give up on you
Seems I love the things you do
Like the meaner you treat me the more eager I am
To persist with this heartbreak and running around
And I think that I know things may never change
I'm still hoping one day I might hear you say

I make you feel a way you've never felt before
And I'm all you need and that you never want more
And we'll say all of the right things without a clue
And you'll be the one for me and me the one for you

It has been a long day due to the fact that I have not been able to really sleep in days. Maybe tonight will be better…..or maybe if you check my tumblr later tonight you might see posts every 5 minutes. I’m crossing my fingers that there will be no activity on my tumblr account tonight.

Till next time my lovely readers,

  Cheers.

Every one of Mumford and Sons songs make me want to throw my head back, spin and shout out loud. But today After The Storm is the song of the day.

After The Storm
by Mumford & Sons

And after the storm,
I run and run as the rains come
And I look up, I look up,
on my knees and out of luck,
I look up.

Night has always pushed up day
You must know life to see decay
But I won't rot, I won't rot
Not this mind and not this heart,
I won't rot.

And I took you by the hand
And we stood tall,
And remembered our own land,
What we lived for.

And there will come a time, you'll see, with no more tears.
And love will not break your heart, but dismiss your fears.
Get over your hill and see what you find there,
With grace in your heart and flowers in your hair.

And now I cling to what I knew
I saw exactly what was true
But oh no more.
That's why I hold,
That's why I hold with all I have.
That's why I hold.

I will die alone and be left there.
Well I guess I'll just go home,
Oh God knows where.
Because death is just so full and mine so small.
Well I'm scared of what's behind and what's before.

And there will come a time, you'll see, with no more tears.
And love will not break your heart, but dismiss your fears.
Get over your hill and see what you find there,
With grace in your heart and flowers in your hair.

This is the song of the day.

The Loneliness and the Scream
by Frightened Rabbit

Can you hear the road from this place?
Can you hear footsteps, voices?

Can you see the blood on my sleeve?
I have fallen in the forest
Did you hear me?

In the loneliness
oh the loneliness and the scream
to prove to everyone that I exist
in the loneliness
oh the loneliness and the scream
to bring the blood to the front of my face again

Am I here?
Of course I am, yes
All I need is your hand
to drag me out again

It wasn't me, I didn't dig this ditch
I was walking for weeks
before I fell in

To the loneliness
oh the loneliness and the scream
to prove to everyone that I exist
in the loneliness
oh the loneliness and the scream
to fill a thousand black balloons with air

Fall down, find God
just to lose it again
glue the community together
we were hammering it

Fell down, found love
but I can lose it again
but now our communal heart
it beats miles from here

I Was a Dancer All Along

I watched 'The Red Shoes' today....I was inspired.

I am going to dance again.

You cannot have it both ways. A dancer who relies upon the doubtful comforts of human love can never be a great dancer. Never.

Dance, Dance, Dance
by Lykke Li

Having troubles telling how I feel
But I can dance, dance and dance
Couldn't possibly tell you how I mean
But I can dance, dance, dance
So when I trip on my feet
Look at the beat
The words are, written in the sand
When I'm shaking my hips
Look for the swing
The words are, written in the air
Dance
I was a dancer all along
Dance, dance, dance
Words can never make up for what you do
Easy conversations, there's no such thing
No I'm shy, shy, shy
My hips they lie 'cause in reality I'm shy, shy, shy
But when I trip on my feet
Look at the ground
The words are, written in the dust
When I'm shaking my hips
Look for the swing
The words are written in the air
Dance
I was a dancer all along
Dance, dance, dance
Words can never make up for what you do
Dance, dance, dance

Hello There, It's Christmas!

Hey, I realize a major holiday has past since I last blogged. Since Halloween I went to a scrabble rock show...it was amazing in case you were wondering. If you are wondering what scrabble rock is, it is what the lead singer of Motion City Soundtrack defines his musics genre as. It was the greatest show I have ever been to, I could hardly talk the next day from all the screaming I did that night!

Skin and Bones by Motion City

What if there's nothing more to me?

I'm just skin and bones.
There's no mystery.
What if you're just an empty shell?

All your spare parts were used up by someone else.

What if there's no way to explain
things like deja vu and acid rain?

What if we're all just broken shelves,
full of someone else's thoughts?

Will we be alright left alone tonight?

What if there's nothing more to us?

We're just carbon-based.

We're just pixie dust.
What if life is a magic trick?

Some quick slight of hand just to make us think.

What if consciousness can't expand

And we fool ourselves with absurd demands
?
What if there is no point at all?

We just grow up to fade away.

Other highlights include having a two day bake-a-thon in Houston with my pal Beka! We made pretty pretty macarons and tarts. I also made a winter cake!

My Sister and I even decorated my apartment a bit!

More interesting things to come next time!

Cheers!

Fall Photos from the Sisters Bro!

We love Halloween!

We were looking for some good spooky reading and we happened upon this in the childrens section at Book People!

I love Edgar Allen Poe very very very much! When Madeline and I found this scarecrow I was ecstatic!

I tried very hard to use my monocle without having to hold it, but alas my eyebrow muscles are too weak to hold the lens on their own.

This is Madeline's Snow White face....

We had allot of curious stares when we were taking this shot, apparently most people don't take pictures WITH the scenes.

Alas....it was the wrong scarecrow, not the Lee Stetson I had anticipated :(

Madeline and the mini ghosties!

And frozen yogurt....mmmmm
